How do I choose a name for my cat?
- Watch them first. Give it a few days. A cat you thought was a Midnight may turn out to be a Bean.
- Keep it short. You'll be calling it a lot, usually with a food bowl in your hand. Longer names are fine if they shorten easily.
- Say it out loud. It should sound natural in the voice you'll actually use.
- Avoid sound-alikes. Choose something distinct from the names of other pets and people at home.
